All About Air Ways & Home TV Service, Inc

Some History.... 

    Air Ways and Home TV Service has a very interesting history.  John Wilkins Sr. started Home TV Service on March 20, 1985 as a home-based service center of consumer electronics.  He worked out of his home's garage and sub-contracted his services to many of the local service centers.  During this time in 1986, one of the companies John contracted for named Air Wave Radio and Television- one of the oldest and largest service centers in Utah- was having financial difficulties.  John Sr. stepped in and bought out the lease, the test equipment, the parts inventory, the service vehicles and the telephone numbers of Air Wave and re-opened under Home TV Service.  After a short while it was apparent that the "name recognition" of Air Wave Radio and Television was being lost and he created a DBA of Air Ways and Home TV Service to promote the name recognition of Air Wave.

   On the first of January 2006, Air Ways & Home TV Service changed business form from a partnership to a corporation with John Wilkins Jr. as the President, John Wilkins Sr. as Vice-President,  and Judy Wilkins as Secretary/Treasurer.  Our new Corporate name became Air Ways & Home TV Service, Inc. 

    On June 1, 2006 Air Ways aquired the assets of Service West, Inc and became the largest service center in Utah representing most major brands. Most of the employees of Service West came to work for Air Ways & Home TV Service. 

    On November 1, 2008 Air Ways again aquired another service center, Warren TV and Electronics and added their staff to ours. 

    Currently Air Ways and Home TV Service employs between 20 and 25 people and represents over 25 major brands as a factory authorized service center. We also represent most major dealers in Utah as well as most local and national extended warranty companies.

   Our factory trained technicians hold some of the highest certifications possible for our industry including:

• MST® Multimedia Systems Technician
• CSM    Certified Service Manager
• CSR     Certified Customer Service Representative
• A+       A+ Computer Certification (COMPTIA)
